Joe Biden is a famous US politician. He started his political career in 1972 at the age of twenty-nine when he was elected to represent Delaware in the US Senate. Within the US Senate he became an expert on foreign policy and crime. Then in 1988 Biden launched a bid for the US Presidency but failed to win the Democratic Party's nomination. Biden continued to serve in the Senate until launching another Presidential campaign in 2008 however, he failed to perform well in the polls and quickly dropped out the race. Then in the summer of 2008 Biden was chosen as Barak Obama's Vice President and both men were later elected in a landslide victory on November 4, 2008.
